Types of orthodontics. Which one do I need?

Metal braces
Metal braces are the most commonly worn by children. They are affordable and easy to manipulate. They stand out in the mouth the most due to their material and colour. But, if you don’t mind that your braces are visible and want a more affordable option, these are the braces you are looking for.

Ceramic or sapphire braces
Ceramic braces are made with similar materials to the previous ones, but with the advantage that they are transparent, so they are harder to spot when you smile. On the other hand, they are also more expensive. In this same vein, we also offer sapphire braces, that use a different material but are almost identical to ceramic ones. If you want to take aesthetics into account and have your braces be as unnoticeable as possible despite the extra cost, these are your best choice.

Lingual orthodontics
Lingual orthodontics have the particularity that they are placed in between the gums, behind the teeth, in a way that it is completely invisible. The disadvantage, aside from a steep price, is that it’s not suited for everyone’s dental problems.

Invisible braces
The invisible braces, also called Invisalign, consist on a plastic mold that is placed on the teeth and that is removed when eating. It is totally invisible, so no one will know you are wearing it. However, due to their aesthetic value, it’s one of the most expensive orthodontic treatments available, and it’s only suited to correct minimal or unimportant problems.
